The PHIL-IRI

February 5, 2010, the second day of my observation. They were making a giant snake and ladder board when I arrived. Some pupils who finished their giant snake and ladder board were playing it and I was amused in watching them. In a minute, I found myself happy playing with them.
After playing with them, my cooperating teacher asked for my assistance in PHIL - IRI, it is an activity which the teacher will ask the students to read a particular story. And after reading, there will be a guide question that will check up the comprehension and retention of the child.
Out of the said reading - comprehension activity. I found out that there were students who had poor retention, and some of them just guessed the answers. This activity aroused my interest and desire to be fully equipped of knowledge and wisdom that I might harvest and gain during my training.
